Global Entry Program Suspended Indefinitely

February 6, 2018
As of Friday, February 2nd, the Federal Office of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Washington DC instructed the Northern California office here in San Francisco to indefinitely suspend all mobile enrollment programs here on campus.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, particularly in light of the original postponement of your appointment. They have assured us that they will be reaching out to all impacted parties, but we didn't want to delay any longer in notifying you ourselves.

  1. At this time, your only option is to complete your enrollment at SFO or any of their other enrollment centers nationwide. The first available appointments at SFO at this moment are on May 30th. The good news is that they handle enrollments 7 days a week at SFO between 7:30 am and 10:30 pm. They have assured me that they will allow "walk-ins" even if you don't have an appointment with minimal wait times.  So you can go to the SFO enrollment center, which is in the international terminal at SFO, right near the SFO BART exit, and explain to them that you were part of the UC Berkeley program and would like them to fit you in as a walk-in.
If you would like to first contact the SFO Global Entry office, they can be reached at 650-877-4006 or by e-mail at sfoglobalentry@cbp.dhs.gov

We appreciate your understanding and once again apologize for the inconvenience.
