The Office of the CFO and Campus Shared Services continue efforts to improve the campus' processes for travel and entertainment (T&E). Our goal is to make your T&E experience easier so you can focus your time on more important work that supports UC Berkeley's mission.

You want to charge airfare directly to the university so you don't pay out of pocket.
The process to charge business-related airfare directly to the university can be challenging. To help, we now provide clarified, step-by-step instructions in the Direct Bill ID (DBID) system. You want to save the university money when you travel.
It's important to you to be good stewards of the university's resources, which means finding the best rates when you travel. Did you know when you book through Connexxus (link is external)you can get these negotiated travel rates?
- United Airlines and partners (Air Canada, Nippon Airways, Lufthansa, etc.): 2% discount on domestic and up to 25% discount on international travel.
- Southwest: 5%-8% discount on domestic travel, including "Wanna Get Away," plus 250 extra Rapid Rewards points per one-way trip.
- American Airlines and partners (Japan Airlines, British Airways, etc.): up to 15% discount on domestic and up to 55% discount on international travel.

You want to book flights using your preferred search engine and still take advantage of UC travel rates.
When booking airfare with your personal credit card, try using Find It to search, book, and save money using websites you're already familiar with like Kayak, Expedia, United, etc. The Find It plug-in is easy to set up and use.
