About the Event
The UC Berkeley Travel Team is partnering with the Campus Sustainability Office and the Central Travel Office at UCOP to offer a sustainable travel event. This event will focus on sustainable options for business travel, including how to reduce our travel-related carbon footprint. Attendees will learn more about what sustainable travel is and how to make more informed decisions when booking for both business and personal travel.
Third Annual Sustainable Travel Event 2025
This year, the event was hosted online on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hosting the event online eliminated approximately 10.3 MTons of CO₂e of travel emissions for presenters and attendees and made it easier for more people to participate, including guests from additional UC campuses.

The agenda included presentations and panel discussions featuring representatives from various travel companies and their sustainability initiatives, as well as practical steps to make more sustainable travel choices.
