ConnexUC
Use ConnexUC to make your car rental reservation with UC discounted rates, and, when eligible, UC rental car insurance.
UC has negotiated rates with Hertz, Enterprise, National, Dollar, and Thrifty. The UC rates available through these car rental agencies are the same whether booking through BCD Travel, UC Travel Center, Short’s Travel, or SWABIZ.
UC policy allows for car rentals up to the intermediate level without prior authorization. Additionally, upgrades may be available if you have a loyalty membership with the agency.
Rental agency loyalty programs
To enroll in rental agency loyalty programs, follow the links in ConnexUC so that your loyalty program profile will associate you with UC and all the benefits that provides. Additional benefits include waived annual fees, car upgrades, and points toward free rentals.

Insurance Considerations
You will want to make sure you have insurance coverage for any damage to the rental car, as well as to other persons and property. In many instances, you will be enrolled automatically in UC’s policy coverage, so there isn’t any need to purchase additional insurance when picking up the vehicle.

How to Pay
You can pay using a personal credit card, US Bank Corporate Travel Card, or cash. A detailed receipt is required for reimbursement, regardless of the dollar amount for the rental.
Renting a Car in Berkeley
UC Berkeley Fleet Services has negotiated special rental terms and conditions with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The UC insurance coverage is included, but other terms and conditions may differ from the system-wide agreements.
